May 4, 2010 - Descrizione. Utility che permette di monitorare l'andamento della tecnologia Intel Turbo Mode, implementata nei processori delle serie Core i7.
I was looking to maybe pick up the new Quad-core 8th generation Intel i7 chip in the Dell XPS 13 (which is technically classified as an ultrabook). The thing is, the base clock speed is only 1.8 GHz. It promises that it will 'turbo boost' up to 4.0 GHz. It has gotten great benchmark reviews thus far. I wanted to know how this would be affected in ableton live where I plan heavy use of VST effects and synthesizers with a decent amount of tracks. I am going to pretty much record everything in the box. I'm also using the Apogee Duet 2 iOS if that matters. Does base clock speed matter if it will just throttle when necessary? What if it gets too hot and won't boost its clock speed? Any input would be appreciated. Is the 8th Gen Dell XPS for me? Or should I wait for the 8th gen HQ processors?
